I was here recently and couldn't make out the tall structure in the middle distance.Think it might be Emley Moor transmitter. Close up to follow.

I recently used a link that should have given me a Google Street view of a part of Leeds but I got very confused when the link brought up a view in North Dakota (and not a place called Leeds)! In view of your link Jogon that shows the Charles Stead building on Scott Hall Road (its actually located on Sheespscar Street North, but that is not obvious) I thought this photo taken on January 7 2012 may be of interest (it is one of many that I took then around the Charles Stead building). The building on the left is what used to be the Skinners Arms.

For a minute I thought it was my old CB aerial popping up
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Looks like they are struggling with this one Jogon, I think we need a little clue perhaps. I can think of no better clue but to say you can see the number 91 bus pass the bottom of this road every half an hour. That narrows the search down whilst still leaving a very large area to guess.First one to the First bus Leeds website wins a coconut! http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/leeds/j ... irect=noOf course knowledgeable busmen like Blakey won't need that kind of help
