Leeds Decade of change 1962-72 photos

If he didn't take the pix, which he didn't as he would have been only 4-7 years old, how can he copyright them? They're not his pix.

I only added a link to the guys photos as i thought they were an interesting collection of Leeds photos relevant to Secret Leeds. I maybe would have had second thoughts if I thought they was going to be any aggro about them. I certainly wouldn't be happy if it were my photo stream been discussed in this way on another forum. As far as I can see the guy has been good enough to upload them to share with others, the question of who took them, who owns copyright, and indeed who he would like to/and what type of comments he gets on them is entirely at his own discretion. It is his photostream to do with as he see's fit.I think that's a perfectly fair comment to make under the circumstances.

It certainly was one-way - running North-South( the pavements were narrower than they are now). Briggate was one-way from South to North.

The photos are great and it is lovey that we have thechance to view them.I understand Phill and Drapesy's viewpoint but at the end of the dayits the old saying about giving credit where credit is due and in this case he has not done so.There is as far as I can see only the one reference to Leeds Civic Trust Leeds City Transport 1968Many of the photo`s of Leeds street scenes in 1968 were taken from this vehicle for Leeds Civic Trust and feature in my set Leeds : Decade of change 62 to 72

I really don't think calling his integrity into question is the right thing to do here. I'm somewhat saddened to see an innocent link to a valueable set of archive photos degenerate this way to be honest.Unless anyone states otherwise, and makes claim to those photographs being theirs, I think it's only fair to make the judgement that he either has full permission to show these photos, or has inherited this collection lawfully. Afterall, how many times do members of Secret Leeds upload photos from Leodis without adding any copyright at all? I for one am guilty of that.Infact some of those older photos in his collection will be available to the public to use soon when the Copyright has lapsed (I believe after 50 years, or when the photographer dies/which might have already happened)Really, just enjoy the photos. God forbid the guy see's this and decides it's not worth the aggravation and deletes the entire collection.
