Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

I've always understood that the "Babes in the Wood" just on the Leeds/Kirklees bounday is a unique British pub name. Come to that I've never seen another Beulah. And the only pubs called The Graziers (one of them gone now) I've ever seen have been in Wakfield.

not trying to put a stop to things, but I think we have strayed away (as we often do) from the thread and I know we have one on pub names and their meaning somewhere which might be better?or start a new one on common pub names so that anyone looking in future and find the information quicker than on here?

Hi Steve. As someone that has posted messages in this thread that are not directly related to the topic of the longest name I do apologise. As there must however be only one longest name (or joint ones) that can likely easily be found though a Google search the thread would have been a very short one without some of us straying off. The very topic in my opinion was likely to lead to such straying in a friendly chatty sense that I think does add interest. Using the sites search function for Pub Names brought up 6 pages of links!I wonder what is the hardest name to say when people have had a few too many drinks?

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

[me too mate, shame the giant Yorkshire Pud's are frozen though. Not surprisingly really, cnosni. After all, they are 1732 feet up!
