They are probably flogging a dead parrot! Or would that parrot be just resting (see the classic Monty Python 'Dead Parrot' sketch in case anyone wonders what on earth I'm going on about ). Or maybe the planning office spends lots of time sending out lots of emails. Mmmm spam fritters, yummy

Passing the London Plane tree today in Dortmund Square I noticed that many of its leaves appear stressed in that they have lost, or are losing, their green colour. It seems a bit early for autumnal leaf loss of colour. Perhaps the poor tree needs another year to settle in properly or needed a good watering!

Don't joke about the parrots, we get Rose-Ringed Parakeets and they make a hell of a racket. Bright green and about as big as a magpie, the damn things had stripped our plum tree by the middle of May. Oh, and they poo like seagulls!

The talk of parrots made me think of the classic 'Dead Parrot' sketch in Monty Python's Flying Circus. It's still hilarious (well it is to me! ). This is the link to the full text of that sketch:- http://www.davidpbrown.co.uk/jokes/mont ... rot.htmlMy Norton security states that the site is safe. I hope you have a good laugh reading it.
