I reckon it's time for some younger eye candy, but of course ageism is a BIG no no these days, and the B.B.C would never admit to that.. Of course younger, and less experienced eye candy would come much cheaper than a well established presenter.My guess is....it's hack the person off you want gone with enough back hand, and devious tricks in the hope they'll leave before you have to finish them. That way will of course save you all the surrounding bad publicity, and expensive court cases for discrimination. I rest my case m'lud

I rest my case m'lud Presumably they're taking a leaf out of C4's book when they disposed of Carol Vorderman and replaced her with Rachel Riley.

I did wonder where Dame Christa had got to and the article explains the sudden silence when Radio Leeds' Andrew Edwards asked Harry Gration if she was on that evenings show live on the radio...Here she is at last years Olympic homecoming party

If £150K is correct as reported then that is way over the odds.that's equal to about 1000 licence fees.Waste seems to be the great problem at the Beeb.Why did the Liz Green morning show have to broadcast from Paris when the Tour d France grand depart was announced ?Just a total waste of money but it makes the favoured ones very happy and well paid.

I've noticed they seem to be pushing glamour puss weather girl Keeley Donovan into the limelight more. I reckon she's the young pretender who will inherit Queen Christa's crown...

Keeley Donovan often presents the weekend bulletins single handed, news and weather. Given that I'm sure she could cope with the 'promotion'. She's certainly more competent than any of the female presenters on Calendar (aside from Christine Talbot or Gaynor Barnes), who are shockingly poor, especially on the early morning bulletins during DaybreakTo be fair though, Look North hasn't been the same since they got rid of Khalid Aziz and Judith Stamper...
