Great photos. I even thought that I recognised the turret to be that above Thornton's Arcade. Where it states "Paris" it also seems to mention "by" and "Railway" but I cannot definitely work out the rest. I assume it is advertising a rail journey to Paris, which would have been an interesting tour. I wonder if what seems to say "Langtry" could be about Lillie Langtry? The shop at the bottom right does seem to be empty so perhaps it was closed or closing down for some reason (? preparation for road widening).Love the horse-drawn vehicles. Much more flexible to go where needed than a trolleybus!

Funny you say that Lee.A lady commissioning editor from History Press got in touch with me a while ago asking if I would do a book. I didn't want to at first, but she talked me into it So then I had to detail how the book would be, photos, chapters, content e.t.c. The book got approved at their next meeting. I received the contract, but that's as far as I got with it.I sometimes need a real kick start into action. One day I'll get there We'll see your name in lights yet.
