It was great to meet you guys and put some names and faces to internet handles. Thanks for the badge and thanks to dsco's girlfriend for the tasty cake. The Scrap Book was a little larger than I think most were expecting and I'm sure it will be a source of fascination for a long while -- it truly is a great record of wallpaper past .

Great night. 25 people plus 7 others who had stopped in the room and were evangelised by Munki<LOL> so will be joining us soon. Many thanks to Angelina for bringing along the wallpaper book,a massive archive or stuff dating back to at least 1885 in just the pages I saw.it needs conserving in some way as we said. Thanks also to John for the booklet on his restoration of the old Lion and lamb at Seacroft.i will read it today when I get home. The cake and food were welcome too<G>.We were spoilt by being given new small and large Secret Leeds badges, fridge magnets and key-rings!Great conversations on all sorts of stuff as you would expect and lovely to put faces to names.can't wait for the next one.It was so desperate in the Victoria that they ran out of all but one beer by the end of the night, even he Tetleys went off,but I don't think we drank all of it ourselves<G>
Steve JonesI don't know everything, I just like to give that impression!

Really good to see some faces, old & new last night & for so many people to come along... & to prove that after six long years enthusiasm for the site, & more importantly for the subject, hasn't even begun to dim!My puppy keeps trying to eat my SL badge, so I think he is jealous. Now we have all got them, do we need to establish a Secret salute for when we pass fellow users / wearers in the Street? There's still sooo many stories out there. I wish we had brought 25 dictaphones along with us last night!
