According to wikipediahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leeds_ArenaLeeds has been the largest city in the United Kingdom without a major venue to hold music or indoor sporting events. As of February 2010, Bristol and Leeds are the only major cities without an arena style venue. ............................That really doesn't surprise me, what does surprise me is we weren't the very last Sheffield's opened in 1991 and Manchester in 1995. Manchester can hold 23,000 people which makes Leeds 13,500 capacity look like a pub gig in comparison. Never mind though, the music industry is about dead these days lol
My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!

In Leeds the arena is purpose built as a concert venue so the seats all face the stage.

You're right there Mork, when there is a concert I'd say 1/3 seats are not used because of the stage, though of course it depends on t he size of the stage!

Im sure you all know im a huge supporter of the arena,if not the council whom i have been very critical of,with their lack ofg any drive or vision, but you have to say that the arena is the bees kneeshttp://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpost.php?p=1 ... nt=6518Its one of the best decisions they have ever taken, having said that, its not exactly a big playing field of decisions for it to be up against.
