I remember the lower sign form being a kid and I think it's has always been altered to try to make it rude.

I like those .I remember when "wall" was modified also, at least I hope it's not my imagination.

Deffo the passageway from the Schofields multi-storey back entrance to Albion Street. Always makes me chuckle, but no-one else!

It is indeed. I took the picture a while ago so I hope it's still there -- I've been chuckling at it for almost 30 years.
