Threads like this one are great in that they bring up names of streets or passage ways in the central area of Leeds that I suspect many of us never notice when we are passing. It was not that many months back when I first spotted Wormald Row. Others for example not that far away include Short Street and Change Alley (that's gated though). There is a Wine Street that runs off Infirmary Street. This is a link to a photo in Leodis taken 14 August 1939 that is a view from Wormald Row looking to Albion Street. The photo also shows Upper Fountaine Strret. http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... PLAY=FULLI wonder what the street sign states?

I wonder why the photo has the 28 feet height measure? Because it was going to be demolished. A lot of pics on Leodis are similar.
