Talking of gate posts there is what seems clearly be a pair of old gate posts in a hedge at one point at the side of a field next to the long (and usually muddy) track that runs from Bank House Farm (near Eccup) to near the Yorkshire Television 'Emmerdale Village' site. There must have been a gate there at one time but the track is narrow and there is no room to drive a farm vehicle along it now, nor probably even cattle. I have no photo to show what I mean. Such things are always of interest.
