I can see why TWG was banned as it must have been terrifying in the 60's to watch that.

Yes we were shown 'Threads' at high school in 1987 as a Friday afternoon 'treat' if you can call something thats caused me continuing recurring nightmares ever since a 'treat'...!?! Apparently lots of schools showed it, maybe it was put on the curriculum, I dont know, but there is a facebook 'Threads' survivors group, or there used to be. The War Game is pretty tame in comparision, but still frightening, and the American film 'The Day After' (no not 'The Day After Tomorrow' is similarly chilling.
