My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!

Whilst we're in the library... ... ... There is a working portculis in the Central library. If you go in the side entrance, Calverley Street. At the top of steps you'll see a steel plate going across the top one. Under this is where the portcullis rises from the cellar. There's still grooves in the wall too. I've seen it in the cellar but got no pictures of it. I'm quite sure one of the security blokes, or a member of staff, would let someone take some for this site, if asked.
Sit thissen dahn an' tell us abaht it.

On the subject of lifts, and I'm sure it must have been mentioned before, there used to be a paternoster lift in the Roger Stephens building at Leeds University although it's more modern than the library lifts when you might expect it to be some Victorian innovation.
