Did anybody go there to school between 1953-1960. I was in the rugby team. I was.nt any good ,so i dont know why the teacher picked me!The teachers i had was Mr Goodwin, Mr poulter, Mr Noon. I've forgotten the names of the female teachers, i know one was young and good looking and another was end of fifty with thick specs.Sister Dorethea was the head.My brother Harry went to the school aswell.I would love to hear from somebody.Michael Wilson.

You might be better trying the Burley Road Group on face book or Friends Reunited.

Not much help from me, but I went to Burley Rd. junior school, leaving for Blenheim about 1953. The school wall at Sacred Heart was so High, I couldn't see the actual school. I well remember walking over the 'ollers' - spare ground where YTV is presently, to have our school dinners at a methodist building on Ventnor St. That involved many stone/snowball fights and religious slanging matches with the pupils of St. Simons on Ventnor St. - I'm still wary of Catholics for that reason. They started throwing first! lol.
