The 'object' seems to be in an obvious inset in the image with the bus so it surely is a manipulated image (or so it seems to me).

Here's the originalhttp://tinyurl.com/cchepl8I don't think the owner has mastered the art of scanning photos yet, never mind manipulate them on photoshop Leo. It's an original photo.

Whatever the mystery object is, if its something powered, as the jet stream suggests, then its heading south away from the Airport and Leeds.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

I agree Leodian - that comet clearly has a border around it. Look at the original via Phill's link and it is even more apparent.

It looks like a separate image on my screen too. The comet has a darker, five-sided background around it. When Mork's image of a comet is superimposed, back-to-front, upside down, it's almost identical. If it isn't photoshopped, perhaps it's cut out with scissors and pasted on with a Pritt-stick?

The name of the play is bugging me (it looks like something to do with sheep), but that owl logo looks like it could be the inspiration for the Dedposh monocled mutineer. Here's another bus advertising a different play that I found on Leodis at http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... SPLAY=FULL(Slightly ironic that it's outside Quarry Hill when the successor of Leeds Playhouse replaced the old flats there)

I think and others may prove me wrong that the owl was a logo for the playhouse Edit: A quick search of Leodis for the 70s shows internal shots of the playhouse with actors. Both refer to it as the Leeds playhouse, rather than West Yorkshire, adding weight to my theory
