Well doneAnd yes Leo, this is on your patch - Stairfoot Lane.I met a chap who was stationed at an Anti Aircraft Gun nearby (don't know it's exact location?), anyway apparently they were going for a low flying German Dornier and in doing so shot the roof off an Alwoodley house.The countdown clock was a poor attempt to chivvy along.Unfortunately the image has no date, but it is interesting to see how few trees there were back then.

Cheers Jogon . Yes the very few trees is a marked change. I wonder what house the roof was shot off?PS. The bench mark only became noticeable after there had been some work on the bridge, during which presumably some plant growth was removed.
