Gold Star + see 'dog incident' in foregroundThe clock tower is just vis right of shot. Most days you can't see it. But the sun was just right as I was on collect school run.Taken from here http://goo.gl/maps/JoxPTPart of my quest for "How far north can you see"/ thread. A nearby resident said he could see "the Bank" ? Sutton Bank, I suggested, "no it's ere, uhm" etc etc. Anyway on a clear day he can see 'something' Bank.

The eighth tee at Scarcroft Golf Club is on the same side of Syke Lane as the clubhouse but further uphill towards the junction with Blackmoor Lane/Bay Horse Lane. The holes at Scarcroft are individually named - the eighteenth is Sir Robert Blackburn, the aircraft designer who figures prominently on other threads on this site - and the eighth is named White Horse, because the White Horse at Sutton Bank is clearly visible from the elevated back tee.
