Hi Leodian. As you can see, your thread has kept me entertained At least it's good to see where the Queen stayed whilst in Leeds.(I can only assume I keep being taken to Bournemouth using Jogons link because I live in Poole? Interesting!).

Hiya Caron. If you have not tried clearing your browsing history I wonder if that may then help to make the link bring up the right location.

In my case this isn't the explanation. There is a Clarendon road in Reading, which is where I live (for my sins), so this would be a lot nearer than High Wycombe. If I search for the three listed, giving the town, then i get the correct road. However, to confuse things a little, if I just put Clarendon road, without town, then I get Birmingham, though this would be expalined by the fact that this is the area I do most google searches of.

In some cases Google will try to find your location through your IP address (a number your internet provider gives you to identify you) . It's usually moderately accurate but can end up saying someone in Leeds is in Merseyside, for example, if there have been temporary changes to your internet provider's set-up. If you're using Virgin Media it usually correctly identifies as Seacroft, Leeds. With BT and others I'm not sure where it says you are from.
