When I was at Cockburn High School (1955-1962) there was a woodern lectern that had the famous mouse carved on it. I wonder what happened to that lectern?

Unfortunately the grown-ups spent most of the time going on about some crappy football match or other.Really boring when you're a five year old on holiday

I've tried but I just don't get it.A football match in Robin Hood's Bay so long ago. Did they have a pitch then?I don't think there is one now.

Hey up Stodge, I too went to that building college around 81 ish it must have been Cross Green Primary or something at a guess, but there will be someone on here that will know exactly its name.... funny I remember the Fish Hut opposite more than the Tyre fitters! I was there about 86-87 it could well of been opposite the fish hut, allot of beer has passed under the bridge since then. I seem to remember East street had leveled off before you went into the old play ground, while the fish hut was still on the slope. Could be wrong. Think it might have been called Ellerby Lane School?
