They've just announced the copyright Gestapo chiefs of staff for the 2014 Winter Olympic games.A fearsome bunch of henchmen I ever did see, they are however a little afraid of the Olympic torch

As someone relatively games neutral,I think the whole issue of painting mailboxes has backfired spectactularly. You have villages falling out with villages, individuals unofficially painting their own mailboxes, mountains of mail(lol) to the local press up and down the country all pleading why their postboxes ought to be painted etc etcThen you have pictures of crowds of zombies all crowding round a small mailbox to take a picture !!! I mean, come on,it's a err mailbox ?Ridiculous. Not as if same box won't be there the next day. This whipped up euphoria just serves to demonstrate how people are easily led.bbbah,bbbah,bbbah...I see today's papers are filled with equally demanding headlines:Sunday Telegraph...declares Farah to be "our greatest athlete in the greatest games" Really ? I'm sure Sir Chris Hoy and Sir Steve Redgrave have no claim to this then ? After all, they too are athletes in their own sport.Still,it sells papers.A very well done to all our athletes in all sports for their achievements but I'm afraid the mediafest and strict enforcement of all things corporate and politically correct has left me less than impressed with that side of the proceedings.Hopefully things can now revert to normal and back to identifying obscure photographs, revisiting old industrial sites and colourful debate as to who ran such and such a pub or when it shut down !shhh (don't even think about the trolleybus !!!)

Did anyone spot the Olympic Censorship Moment when Mo Farah won?He went to his Family and his wife had a Union Jack, gold printed across the middle with the words"FLY MO"But she was told by the Olympic Waffen SS that she couldn't unfurl it due to Olympic Advertising Rules. Shambolic.

The minute it was announced this country would host the games I thought,1) How can we afford to do it? and 2) We're no doubt going to see/hear a side to the games we'd rather not.Give it a week or two and all the good cheer will subside.I am waiting for the figure to be announced re how much this country has gained by hosting the games.....

I think it's backfired pretty badly on Royal Mail, they certainly have angered a lot of people with the farce of the Golden post box lol     And I still can't see Royal Mail on the list of people officially allowed to use the Olympics 2012 branding, words, or design herehttp://www.london2012.com/about-us/the-people- ... rs/They're also not part of any central government department, the Greater London Authority, a borough hosting various events, or non-commercial organisation.

Now that's close by !
