Congratulations to Nicola Adams from Leeds. She is guaranteed a gold or silver in the boxing. It will be another medal for Yorkshire! And as pointed out by a letter in today's YEP the medal topping Chinese trained in Leeds so it may be the good Yorkshire air and water that invigorates the competitors!

Plus couldn't they have found a proper post box to paint instead of this horrible modern one?

What puzzles me is why is the guy is wearing a brand new hi viz jacket, pristine clothes, with safety glasses for added protection. Yet no sign of common sense painters overalls?    Surprised he wasn't made to wear a hard hat the way the country is going H&S mad today!

[With acknowledgements to Father Jack Hackett]Did anyone see the "Feck Dive" ?Whereby German Stephan Feck fluffed a dive.http://youtu.be/gIRUKf5ZInwpsref: the Brownlees, good on you lads I suspect it is not politically correct to gift a gold postbox to affluent Bramhope and that, mercifully there's a tenuous link to slightly more pongo Horsforth.

The Mail reported that the brothers share a cottage in Bramhope but they were raised in the "affluent Leeds suburb of Horsforth".

More people will see it in Horsforth so I think it's reasonable rather than in a village that no-one has to go through.
