Another example of outstanding local current affairs knowledge/research from Martin Kelner at 07:10 today.Discussing the death of former Bradford MP Marsha Singh, Kelner launched into a eulogy of "She was this.." and "Her achievements were that,...". It was about 40 seconds in before some slightly better informed person must have whispered through the headphones that Marsha Singh was actually a man. Credit to Kelner, he switched seamlessly mid-sentence from feminine pronouns to masculine.Guess he thought nobody would notice at that time of day.And you thought Radio Leeds was just about "What's the Weather?" and not about journalistic integrity?

Off thread but still in the same area of idiots, mainly, Fearn Britton when the great James Taylor appeared on Morning. After he'd played a few chords of Fire and Rain, she said, " Ahh, a little of You've got a Friend ". I couldn't believe my ears and his face was a picture. Someone slap her!!

If you have Sky Atlantic you might be enjoying Steve Coogan in "Alan Partridge's Mid-Morning Matters"* on Monday evenings.I've come to the conclusion that North Northfolk Digital is just a nom de plume for BBC Radio Leeds and the show is actually based on the Drivetime show with Andrew Edwards as the inspiration for Partridge....* - search for the show on-line if not, it's on all the usual video sharing websites....

It should be on Youtube, they were made as little promo vids for Fosters before he resold them to Sky.I watched them the first time around online and they are just as funny the second time as they have been slightly edited to fit the format of TV a bit better.

And the large majority of comercial radio stations too!!My daughter (for some unearthly reason) has started listening to Capital FM.Whomever it is on the 'school-run' programme reminds me of a pre-pubescent boys tea-party, it's puerile drivel
