It was closed for ages, cant remember how long exactly but it is why it says closed on the photo. You can even see the blue plaque on the door int he google map. This hasn't been moved. http://g.co/maps/tt8fhis where Nash's is/ was and as far as I know always was when it was in Briggate.

So there's no rear entrance in the mock Tudor building next door? That's what was puzzling me.

What do you mean by back of the Lounge bar? Is the lounge bar not part of Nash's on Merrion Street?Can someone draw a picture? Lounge bar entrances. Cafe entrances. Take away entrances. Restaurant entrances. All front and rear. Ta.

My drawing is rubbish but this should help...Nash's and The Lounge bar are next to each other and front onto Merrion Street and back onto the small road that is an annexe of New Briggate.If you look on google maps http://g.co/maps/7stp2 where it says St Johns House to the left of this is the Lounge Bar. It is incorrectly marked on google maps.You can see next to this how the shops (viewed from this side http://g.co/maps/a62kc) actually form an L shape and then next door is Nash's.Nash's on Merrion Street only has an entrance and nothing else, all the rest is are part of the shops, so if you see the attached it is:Red - The LoungeGreen - The ShopsBlue - Nash's building and the entry steps to the front on Merrion Street.

From the back you can see it also, same colour scheme.The back entrance to Nash's is under the middle window (there are 5) and is where I have marked the blue X.Hope this explains it, the only other door on Nash's is further up and seems to be a staff entrance/ other access to the kitchen.

Hi LS1.One thing that your post does confirm is that it is unwise to rely on the position given to named locations in Google views. As a good example The Wrens is badly mislocated in the Google view brought up through the http://g.co/maps/7stp2 link.

Wow thanks all. So it seems that all there is of Nash's on Merrion Street is this entrance?Which brings me right back to the start of this thread, where it says on Leodis that they moved into the mock Tudor building. Aaarrgh.
