Joiners, Plumbers and other such craftsmen, carrying all their tools in a canvas bag which was hanging on a hammer head, the hammer shaft being supported on top of a shoulder, and held by a firm hand.

I can put it onto DVD for you and then I could even put it onto youtube for you, bearing in mind you can only upload up to 15 minutes on youtube as a standard user, which I am. I would send you the tape and the DVD back. There's an email addy in my profile. That's very kind indeed Chrism, and I have got a new machine which will convert the camera tape onto a DVD - so if I was to send you the DVD when I do it I'd be really obliged if you could put it on youtube for everyone to see. Naturally its an extremely amateurish effort and I think rather over 15 minutes (but not much) but I'll send you more details in an E mail hopefully tonight. Again many thanks, and its quite likely that such complete exposure of the village may never be seen again. As I may have said before, I took the very first load of workmen from the Leeds Labour Exchange in Bridge Street to begin the project in the first place - April 1961 IIRC.     If it is too long for Youtube I can put on another video site that accepts longer stuff, even full movies.

I've got one of those and do the same when bringing it from the shed to the house.

Our plumber used to use a homemade wooden cart in later years produced from a wooden box and a couple of pram wheels which regularly succumbed to the weight carried - made sure we didn't leave our treasured bogie in easy reach
