My sentiments exactly, I think we should go back to the days when people and family had a weekend together, most definitely Sundays. It's nothing but greed by the big chain stores and fat cat bosses.I for one would gladly see town like a ghost town on a Sunday as it was in days gone by (pubs excepted) It angers me to see these big chain stores having the greed to open on Boxing day and have sales, can they not let people have 2 days off at Christmas??     People only have x amount of money to spend, does it really matter if they spend it a day later?

Leo I've often wandered round but not noticed that coat of arms/shield.The interior surprised me with it's sumptuous interior with tiles and carvings. I couldn't recall what it reminded me of, 'till this entry 'jogged' my memory - Maurits Escher the Dutch Artist.http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2738190

You never know. Pubs might even start opening on a Sunday outside lunchtime hours of 12-2 and evening hours of 7-1030pm. The Sunday opening times of the Leeds Central Reference Library are wrong on the website. They have been 13:00 to 17:00 (1 pm to 5 pm in old money!) for quite some while now. I don't know if the times for the other days are correct or not.

I thought I would post one more photo showing part of the Leeds Central Reference Library. It was taken on April 22 2012 and is a view looking up to the windowed top (is windowed a real word? ).I've taken only a few photos in the library over the years despite there being such a lot of interesting things. I've always assumed that there will have been very many thousands of photos taken by visitors over the years.
