LVP - City Loop

Does anybody know anything about this other than what's covered here?http://www.flickr.com/photos/6228_leeds/6797146799/I usually see it just a bit further back from the photo laid up at the bus stop in Bishopgate Street. However I did also see it laid up at the bus stop adjacent to the Stourton container port (opposite the M621 Jct.7 southbound onlslip) just after 7.30pm on Wednesday which would fit in with Leeds Valley Park.Also is this why Rollison-Safeway mini coaches are regulalry laid up at the Bishopgate bus stop?

I saw that bus out in Leeds near the Light on Wednesday and I wondered why such an old bus was in service.

The Bishopsgate stand seems to be for private buses and coaches, whether officially or not. The Geldards buses from O2 at Arlington stop there in the evening and pick up on Sovereign Street.

However, the current ones do have their recognisable differences but you certainly do need to be "in the know and interested" to spot them. To return though to the impression that Mork has gained, there are plenty of vehicles still in service at twenty years old and more. While in Blackpool the other day I was delighted to see a familiar bus still in service and doing well at Thornton Clevelys en route for Fleetwood - the former Metro (until 1986 and De-regulation) number 5005. It is one of several purchased by Blackpool Transport when the 1986 Act obliged the firm, after then Yorkshire Rider, to dispose of a large number of buses, especially like 5005 those on lease as opposed to owned. To return to the topic though, sorry again for wandering, 5005 is a 1984 Leyland Olympian (wonderful models) and is still hale and hearty at twenty eight years old !!I'm obliged also to find out what the green "LVP" single decker is all about - I've seen it many a time and wondered what it was up to - it appears to be in good order and very well presented.

They also use several european style luxury coaches to ferry the workers in and out.The car parking arrangements up at VP are chaotic at best.Cars litter the environs of the whole area....it's first come,best spot if that's what you call it.The grass verges and every conceivable piece of "land" are used at every opportunity !

Ah yes, I worked there when the site was first opening in 2006 and it was a fight to get parking even then, but apart from the 116 passing by the entrance, there was really no alternative. It amazes me how this hardly ever occurs to the people who build these places... well, actually, no it doesn't.

I'm quite sure they would have liked to provide more parking but planning laws prevented it
