I'm not doubting all this but I saw bands at the Uni in 72 and they never walked through the audience, the bands changing rooms were behind the stage and down some stairs. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/n ... 1481Bottom of the page.Regarding the piece on the Kirkstall ice rink and Rolarena (Yorkshire Diary, January 3). I used to go the early 1970s with the girls from West Park High School. It was a great place, I think the DJ was called Daz Darwell, I was wondering if any one had any photographs of it then.About the David Bowie concert: we had tickets to see him at the University but he said the stage was too small so when it was moved to the Rolarena I could not get a ticket, but some of my friends did. As far as I remember it shut down after the concert.
