Hey up Stodge, I too went to that building college around 81 ish it must have been Cross Green Primary or something at a guess, but there will be someone on here that will know exactly its name.... funny I remember the Fish Hut opposite more than the Tyre fitters! the brooke family had the tyre place,it was forever going up in smoke if you remember.

I was there about 86-87 it could well of been opposite the fish hut, allot of beer has passed under the bridge since then. I seem to remember East street had leveled off before you went into the old play ground, while the fish hut was still on the slope. Could be wrong.

At last! 'Arry sent me a coupla pics of Burley Lawn School to post for him, "before and today"...Had to work on one of them as it was in a weird format - but here you go!the school in 1931 - CLASS picture, with the tram coming at you along Burley Road! And one 'Arry took recently - the wall is still the same (cleaned up a bit), but now enclosing flats!I'll have to get 'Arry to set up a photo hosting setup. It'll save me time...or maybe not?
You can take the lad out of Leeds - but you can't take the Leeds out of the lad.

St Peters C of E on Cromwell street. This was St Charles school before St Peters took it over in the late eighties/early nineties due to the original St Peters having burnt down on bonfire night. I attended this one & the teachers had to keep an eye on us at play time to make sure we did not get underneath the wire fence onto York Road.

Agnes Stewarts (Aggies) theres another lost school. I went there in about 95 i think. My step daughter who attended there about 2 years ago, before she started at the David Young Community Academy, said it was to be used as a place for nuns. Not sure to believe her or not. You know what teenagers are like! I had a great time at aggies.
