Has anyone else seen that guy riding around Leeds on a pushbike that looks like a Harley Davidson motorcycle and is decked out with loads of neon and LED lights? (Looks like Blackpool illuminations on 2 wheels!) Have seen him a few times and it looks really nice, at least he wants to be noticed, which is more than what can be said for some other cyclists. One other question got me though....How on earth does he power all the lights? Will have to post a picture if I see him again, as it is quite often now.

Yes - I assume it's the same guy, saw him cycling on the footpath (tut tut!) at the end of the M621 at Meadow lane one teatime last week.Quite a fancy looking bike - like something off Tron (but much slower!).

Yes, wouldn't look out of place at Blackpool illuminations! Joking aside, I really do wonder how he powers them?? I reckon he has them wired up to a dynamo style power supply - It charges as he cycles - Either that or he has a dozen duracell batteries in a rucksack!Although, put it this way, at least he's a cyclist wanting to be noticed on dark winter days!

Yes21.12.11, 11.04HRS Harper Street outside the Duck & Drake. The only reason I am so specific here is that I was taking a photo of D&D and it listed time date. He's great.I heard "it" coming first and assumed it would be a certain type in an old Vauxhall Nova (..ooh get you Jogon). The bike is amazing, I seem to recall Harley-style black paint job and many blue led/neon.What a hero! I loved it and admire him. When I was his age late '60 I was on a pale blue Hercules Jeep single speed. I take solace that this would now be viewed as a "single speed" or "fixie" and that I was years ahead of fashion. In my parka.

Aha! The plot thickens! If it's a pushbike, as alleged in the first post, how did Jogon hear it coming? Are there two similar vehicles, or is it only one, and it's a pushbike with a bit of card in the spokes? I think we should be told!

SimpleHe had music blaring out (like you usually get from tha old nova's) I heard the music afore said bike.It makes my Giant Yukon Hardtail MTB [Ed - bought at Woodrupps in Leeds] look dowdy- might strap some neons and borrow the kid's ipod and 'get out there'.

Wonder if he knows he has an online 'Fanzine' (is that what they call it). Maybe he only appears in times of dire peril etc.

Spotted today on Lands Lane.Had a word, nice young man who makes his own. He said it was a shame he wasn't on "the black one with lights & music". Confirmed I'd seen that too. Mentioned his fame on Secret Leeds to him so he may look in.Maybe Woodrups should join forces with him..
