I thought that this thread might benefit from the 1847 map of the area. The blue lines show the water courses.

Hi Jim. Yes, I saw that, but I was going by a photo someone posted (can't remember who or where) which appeared to show possible outflows just by the bridge, hence the question mark.Edit: PS Just noticed Cnosni's post (with plan) on page one of this thread - it shows the outfall way down near the parish church!

Looks good Si. jf's posts at the bottom of page 1 of this thread add to this idea. Also cnosni's plan shows the corn mill as a fulling mill to add to the story.
