I kept on coming accross this site when looking for information on underground tunnels and the like in Leeds.Mot sure what I posted on first, may have been the skateboarding thread.I hate to admit it but I've spent my life in Leeds and not paid much attention to what was around me and the history of the place until I left the country for what I thought would be a long time, then I had to sign up here and find out more about my birthplace. Now I'm back I plan to appreciate the city a lot more.

I found the site when browsing on Dark places and reading up on disused railway tunnels, there was a link posted in a thread on there.I signed up at 14.59 on the 6th Dec 2007 and made my first post in a thread entitled Little trains of Leeds at 03.59 on the 7th Dec - I think I had been reading the site non stop from signing up to making my first post LOLIn that first post I promised Phill D that I might well head down to the Abbey light railway and offer my services as a volunteer, something I have yet to do - sorry Phill lol.

I joined 1 April 2007, doesn’t seem that long ago.My first message was about the Odeon in the Merrion, shame the links don’t works anymore but the YEP had a makeover not so long ago.Apart from Phil’s explorations which I love reading and watching I have to say that it is Jim who has me enthralled with all his railway knowledge and stories. I just wish I had been as interested 40 years ago in our fascinating city and kept more memories of the place.
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?
