Yeah its really strange, personally (showing my age here) don't remember alot of them - cars that is, but the look kind of cool. There is a great book in the Library that details the rise of the interchange. Green backed book, in the local history library. near where the little room in the corner is, on one of the top shelves, some good phots in it, but none that haven't been seen before. I thought the plaque was just near Greenwich House, going into town from Chapeltown Road towards Sheepscar Street, just opposite the old Post office. there is an island in the road there on the same island as Greenwich house. I'm sure it's there in that patch of grass as I seem to remember stumbling on it when I was mooching around there.

Back of the Sheepscr library has the old road sign of Roscoe street so there must have been a few rows of roscoes i reckon! Who has the old 1906 map again?

LS1 Just having a look on the map now (190 which shows only the Golden Cross, and another pub on Roundhay Road at the top of where Roundhay Street once was. thought it was called the Roscoe cos it was near the Roscoe 'estate' of Streets. Must have been typing my post the same time here!

You can see the building marked PHH in the top right. Dount it was the roscoe as it is on the corner and I think the Roscoe was in a terrace. I'll ask my grandparents tonight, they are in their 90's so will remember I hope!

For the gig guide see here http://www.newroscoe.co.uk/ As a new member to this forum, i would like to thank you Phill for the Roscoe thread. I have enjoyed reading it and as i am a regular to the Roscoe seeing some great tribute acts i.e. The Smyths, Ramones PHD, The Clashed, Kiss and Limehouse Lizzy, with my next visit on Sunday the 23rd Sept for another Ramones trbute band.I think John Keenan is doing a great job in bringing these acts here for us to see,and anyone fancying a night there, should go as its a friendly welcoming place, cheap to see the bands and a good night to be had.So a big thanks from me.P.S. when can we have Iggy Pop tribute on, can you arrange that please Phill ( or John Keenan if your reading this )

Thanks Hunslet. Iggy pop now he's a case & half eh? Sadly i don't have anything to do with booking the bands as i'd have Jed Thomas on a bit more often much to a few complaints of too bloody loud!! I've probably seen you in there if your a regular tho!
