Hi Pablo. I think the reason why the doorway appears to "move" is because it is not flush with the wall, but stands proud by several feet. I think this is called the parallax effect, or something. Even so, it still has definately moved to a central position since 1984. I'd love to know why...Edit: Oops! Crossed posts! Also, the chimneys have been removed.

The leodis colour shot is Feb 1991.That was just before they started work installing the (last) street furniture which they've just got rid of. Namely big chunky marble-faced square blocks with lower lights and large metal lamp-type things overhead. It all looked like supports for tramlines. Together with the slippiest floor tiling they could source.They were starting work on that May 1991. I was down there collecting a suit, kegs a bit see-through now.

I agree with Si that this is fascinating stuff. I've just been playing around with Google Satellite view to see how the area looks in an aerial view but I was surprised just how much the cranes of the Trinity Project development intrude in such views.
