Hi Steve.I was just going to reply to your message asking for help how to post a new thread, however on logging on to Secret Leeds I see you have sorted that out, uploading photos to this site is an altogether different kettle of fish.If you can get it to work I'd say you were in the minority, as many users still can't get to grips with it after 2 years or more. It's the website, and not the user to blame really. You can post photos onto S.L directly from your flickr account if you have uploaded them, you need to paste the photo IMG code into this message box. I can help, or post the photos for you if you have them on flickr. You can also attempt to add the photos whilst writing a new message, see the bottom of the message box where it says 'add attachment' Perhaps someone else can give you a few tips, or bit of advice on this method as I don't use it

Here's a rare photo of a train in the Dunlop & Ranken works in 1982.http://tinyurl.com/6pasfyf31162 on the trip from Stourton Goods backing RSJ"s into the unloading bay at Dunlop's.Those rails were still in situ up to around 5 years ago before the new houses were built. There is another thread on Secret Leeds covering this line and the Farnley fireclay branch line if someone can find the relevant link to it.

Yes I will do if the situation arises, I think getting to grips with this site is very much like learning to walk before you can run. Hosting images on S.L is like running a marathon therefore

Not directly relevant to the thread but this photo relating to Dunlop & Ranken might be of interest. The photo was taken on August 9 2011 during the demolition of the last part of the Alwoodley Motor Services building on King Lane (the garage part was demolished some days earlier). A large girder with the name 'Dunlop & Ranken Leeds' can be seen. I don't know the year when the garage was built but from old photos and maps it would have been there in at least the early 1930s, so the girder could be at least around 80 years old.

That brought on a blast of nostalgia, I worked at Dunlop & Ranken from 1973 to 76 and used to patrol the sidings collecting steel advise notes from the rail wagons, and recording the wagon numbers for demurage purposes. Elf and safety just would not allow it these days !
