If it wasn't a brown jumper knitted by a relative or home made tartan (yep) trousers, then I was clothed here.Cannot recall just where it was but Vicar Lane rings a bell and I remember the intriguing air-sucky tubes that took the cash off somewhere else.[Ed - in Leeds]

There are (at least) four photographs on Leodis. One is here..http://www.leodis.org/display.aspx?reso ... =FULLThree of them are dated 1932 with the fourth one taken fifty years later. To see all four, use the Leodis search facility using the correct spelling - Cashdisia.

My brother worked there briefly (mind you, he worked everywhere briefly!) so it must still have been there in the early eighties. I believe it was supposed to have a ghost.

The talk of Cashdisia reminded me of the Greenwoods mens clothing shops. There used to be a couple, or possibly more, in the centre of Leeds but as far as I know there isn't one now. The second link in Chrism's thread today at 14:38:16 brings up a photo in the Leodis website that in addition to Cashdisia also shows a Greenwoods store very close by.The following link will bring up a thread on Greenwoods in the SL site. http://www.secretleeds.co.uk/forum/Mess ... ighLight=1
