Didn't there used to be a bus to the Lawnswood Arms? Or have I just imagined that?

I'm intrigued though about "not for long" in the case of the 95 - is it for the chop do you think ??

Your not wrong if you went from Tommys to the Woodman you got a extra half hour. It was the same in Middleton going from the Arms to the Thorpe Hotel at the bottom of Middleton Park Avenue

Next year will see a much reduced intake with the last students leaving in May/June 2013. As the 95 is suspended outside term time then I can't see it surviving without a significant change in route. Many of the "decanted" students will use "central village" which people will better know as the newly refurbed F and H blocks formerly belonging to Leeds Met. Those students shouldn't need a bus to get them to Uni but they may still need one for their nights out in town. I've already noticed that the deception machines (bendy buses in livery akin to that of Centrebus) are being switched on a regular basis to the 1 route. Full circle as the 1 was the original bendybus route before switching to the 95 and then being dropped before coming back as the deception bus.

[quotenick="tyke bhoy"]Hi Blakey. The residences at Boddington are in there final academic year of "full" usage. I agree with your description "deception buses" although whether the number 1 route will ever become "bendy" again is doubtful. Most of the former "bendies" are still laid up and an embarrassment to FB, but the six orange ones were dragged out and refurbished at an obscene cost each for the 95 farce.

It's not hush-hush but I don't think its being widely publicised. I only know courtesy of contacts at Leeds Met and Leeds Uni's Residences Edit: May be wrong on it lasting to June 2013 thoguhhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodington_Hallhttp://www.leeds.ac.uk/bodington/index.html
