Good idea! It's had it's day the Merrion market. All too often we get nostalgic over this sort of thing which is fair enough (I am a little myself) but progress has to happen for the good of mankind. We can't keep every old building and I think LCC 9/10 do a pretty good job of balancing the old and new parts of Leeds. Let's face it. The Victorians did away with most of the earlier parts of Leeds and we are left with their legacy.....(n.b. if you look at the arena footprint, it replaces the Gibraltar Barracks, and lots of Georgian terraced housing)

I spent many hours in Right Track Records (previously Gerols). The owner, Rob, was a great guy and I was genuinely saddened when this excellent little record store closed in 2001.I discovered Gerols while bunking off school in 1982. Rob knew me and my mate were bunking off but allowed us to use his shop as a safe haven. And what a haven it was. I discovered so much new music there. Stuff I would never have heard of otherwise. Rob, you're a great man and the influence your shop had on my life and its direction will leave me forever indebted to you.The sad thing is the shop has stood empty since its closure. Such a waste.

I'm a big fan of the vox and can't wait for their new album to be released later in the year.Gerols was the better version of the store. After the name change Rob got rid of all the singles he used to have down the left hand side as you walked in. He replaced them with the dreaded CD!
