I would not have liked to have worked down there with the flax it looks like the pits.They would have been working for peanuts long hours bad conditions if you were ill no work no pay, has for the owners thats another story.
No matter were i end my days im an Hunslet lad with Hunslet ways.

The Old Red Lion has a very old cellar.it is no longer used as the cellar is on the ground floor nowadays,but I recall being allowed down into the original in the 1990's and surprised how old parts looked.
