Took a look in "Model Zone" today. They do indeed sell models and paints, and a small selection of scenic scatter material , but do not sell accessories/components/castings/basic construction materials/tools for the modeller who wants to build for themselves. Thy didn't even have PlastiKard or it's solvent cement. The last shop I found that was a serious supplier of this kind was some two miles out of Wakefield towards Dewsbury. It was some years ago, but it may still be operating

I'd say its less than a mile from Westgate Station though

I believe this was actually the shop of HOBBIES LTD, the well known fretwork etc modelling chain, whose head office was at Derham in Norfolk. I don't think Hornby had shops of their own did they ??
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

There used to be a shop (though I can't remember the name) behind the Bond Street centre on the precinct bit that leads to M&S.
