A Happy St Georges day to all Secret Leedsers! It's nice to see a handful of flags flying across the city today, shame there aren't a few more (without wanting to reignite the whole "he wasn't actually English" debate)

Er, actually it isn't St George's Day today. It's Holy Saturday. Apparently Saints' Days are not allowed during Holy Week, so St George has been re-scheduled this year, but I don't know to which date.

So you mean I had my (Made in China) St Georges Cross flags flying from my French car and later celebrated with a traditional English meal of pizza, washed down with some fine German beer for no good reason today?

This is due to coinciding with Easter, which takes precedence of course.
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Now that drapesy has kindly pointed out that St George's Day has been re-scheduled to May 2nd, why not all take a day off work to celebrate it properly:-)What's all this about something special happening this Friday, though? I haven't heard of anything. Pray enlighten me, someone, please!
