No probs Jan Cee, it's nearby so I don't mind - couldnt resist the rat, it's so strange to see them there, as when I come into work so early I usually see them scurrying around the streets but they are always too quick for me to get a photo! - Hope it's not too morbid!!I tried having a closer look at her (it?) as I thought it could be queen Victoria but I don't think so. Appears to be holding something but can't see what as it was too bright this morning looking up!

Hi Jancee, Though it bears little resemblence, the statue complete with orb, shield and crown, IS supposed to be Victoria.! Supposedly when she was between the ages of 18 & 23. At the time when the structure was completed. And was called the Queen Victoria Buildings. PS. I'm not a smart a***. Just have a mine of useless information, and a ton of reference books regarding Leeds & Dist.
