Only ten? Disgraceful! The council should send one to each household in Leeds. 'Twould be better value than their glossy PR sheets that no-one ever reads.
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, moves on; nor all thy Piety nor all thy Wit can call it back to cancel half a Line, nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.

The last one at least, gave details of the bin collections over the recent holiday period - far more use than the individually mailed leters endorsed, 'date as postmark', received usefully, in PPI-franked envelopes which bear no dated postmark - arriving on January 10

Those with a strong constitution may survive seeing a picture of yours truly on the front illustrated cover, as a young conductor in December 1957, long enough to open the pages and enjoy this fabulous book. As well as an incredible wealth of detail about the vehicles and services it also provides much atmosphere about social conditions and local history over the years.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
