i just got an email tonight from the British Library Web archive. They want to archive the site.Unfortunately they seem to think I am the owner so I have forwarded it to Chameleon to pass on and replied to the libray telling them I am just a contributor and suggesting they contact the site owners. This is in response to a number of us suggesting the site be included in the libray's online archive due to it's importance as an information source.if we can get it archived as fast as possible,it will be good ammunition to stop any attempt to close the site in future!
Steve JonesI don't know everything, I just like to give that impression!

That is great news.I wonder what will happen to electronically stored data, as such things may be hard to keep long term without degeneration of their information or they will be no longer considered worthwhile storing.

Quite a number of people made the nomination as was suggested. This will give the site and its wealth of data the recognition and preservation it deserves. Teatament I think to the quality of the contributions made by one and all.On its way to dunki & munki as I type
