Great collection there !Best view yet of the old Leek street flats. The turntable at the rear entry of the Markets post officehas beenmentioned on SL before.Theview of Hunslet Lane goods yard and warehouse brings back lots of memories though I never saw it from that angle.Theone listed as Wellington stn shows what was known as the African Village, temporary office and canteen accommodation, was there for Yonks above the station.

Wow great photos .Certainly brought back memories for me.the photo of Hunslet lane is of particular interest to me , as the Tetley house is the Red Lion which my Aunt and Uncle where the landlords at the same time as the photo . Sid & Eileen Jagger where their names. Being looking for a decent photo of that pub for ages and now I have one. Before that they had the Railway at Marsden other side of Huddersfield and after the Red Lion owned the Station at Guisley from the late 60s to the 80sThe high veiw photo of Woodhouse Lane and the Uni is a real good shot too. Try counting how many churches in the photo.Cheers Yorkie

I mean the building with the curved bit right in the foreground. Blenheim school is just on the mid right edge of the picture and then the blind and deaf school moving to the left. I'm sure I can remember these but being born in 68 i might be making it up. Can't remember when they were cleared.

OK Cardi got you now. Not too sure on the curved roof building. But I'm thinking the photo could have being taken from the Kitson College high rise building.Cheers Yorkie

That or one of the new Polytechnic buildings that might have been springing up then.
