Annie Hunsworth was born 1905 Leeds, to parents Alfred born 1881 Leeds, Clay miner and Florrie born 1882 Leeds on the 1911 census Annie is listed as living with her parents and sister Bertha born 1904 Leeds, at 7 Windsor Terr, her parents were married for 8 years suggesting that Alfred and Florrie married 1903allthough i couldnt find them earlier they are listed as UNSWORTH not HUNSWORTH and someone on Ancestry as corrected the 1891 census record for Alfred Hunsworth to Unsworth. Alot of people have helped me on here, so if i can i always try to help others, i kind of enjoy it tbh, finding the pieces of the puzzle and making it all come together. need any more help just ask away Weenie

Keyholekate says her grandmother lived in Temple View, Leeds, and wonders where this might be.Many years ago my family lived in Temple View Terrace, which still exists in LS9 behind the Irish Centre in York Road.Nearby are Temple View Road and Temple View Grove.Could any of these streets be the answer?Glax

I have joined Ancestry now but its still a bit baffling. Yeah it can be,they have so much stuff on it. A little tip,if you are going to build a tree then i would recommend building it on Genesreunited, there are more UK contacts than on Ancestry and as you add people on your tree then others who subscribe are alerted when they get a match with someone on your tree,so you are able to expand your research much more quickly. However, the matches on Genes arent always accurate,so if its a common surname then be prepared to get a lot of matches. Also never take anything at face value, people make mistakes and assumptions and sometime just plain fabrication of facts to suit their beliefs, alway research yourself, with help from contacts as a guide. If you start to build your tree on Genes then DO NOT give accurate years of birth or first names for living relatives.I expand years of birth for living relatives by about 5 to 10 years and i give them first names of "Living",this will help maintain privacy, you would be surprised what you could find out online from just a few clues.Any pointers you want or questions about Ancestry then please ask,and dont forget it is all practice,no one is born with the knack, its just repetetion

please help!! I live in Devon where i bought and still have a very old writing bureau. In one of the wooden divisions written in black ink is "Our Jack, 24 Cardinal Road, Old Lane, Leeds 11" and the wooden division before that it says "E Summer fr Dad, 23 January, 1933". Not sure of the word Summer though. I've seen the residence on google maps and it's got me curious. I've always wondered about its history. does anyone know how I can find out with being intrusive of the present owners of the house? it's a lovely bureau, albeit a little used now, but I love it!!
