Hidden treasure?

A news item on TV this morning was suggesting local councils should consider selling off some of the valuable pieces of art and vast collections of artefacts they have in storage to raise money. In some cases up to 80% of the stuff is has never seen the light of day in a gallery or museum. I wonder what Leeds City Council has hidden away and where it's all kept??

Mostly in the Leeds Museum Discovery Centre I suspect, whose collections were held in storage for many years (up in Yeadon iirc). Since the opening of the Leeds City Museum there has been more display space, but I believe the rest of the archives are held (and can be viewed by appointment) here: http://leedsliveitloveit.com/visitors/p ... ery-centre
