It was pretty good but I just can't remember who the author was, any ideas anyone? The author mentioned street names both true and fictional ones. If anyone knows this author I'd be well made up for some info. I think at least one is set in London.

'To prove I'm not forgot' Sylvia M Bernard - interesting work about Beckett Street cematary, difficult to find but an oft quoted work.'Hidden beneath our feet' David Sellers - the story of sewerage in Leeds - does not sound all that prepossessing, but well worth a read, extremely difficult to find

Maurice Procter set one of his authentically written police procedural crime novels in a fictionalised Leeds. Woodhouse Lane became Timberhall Lane. Struggling to remember the title. Good read.
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, moves on; nor all thy Piety nor all thy Wit can call it back to cancel half a Line, nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.

Just had a look on Wikipedia. I think the book set in Leeds was "The Pub Crawler", published in 1956. Centred on Blackman Lane.
