Much of the traffic heading for t'Gyratory on the Inner Ring Road is heading for the motorways - so why not put some HUGE signs up near Great Clothes on York Road and direct it all onto the vastly underused 'new' section of the IRR and over John Smeaton Viaduct and onto the motorway there, rather than allowing to to plough on in a lemming like fashion? Or is that missing the point? I refer you to the transport plannners and plot thread

I'm always suspicious of such signs as they send you down the planners prefereed route, not necessarily the most direct or quickest. to get to the M1 from Lawnswood the signs direct you around the ring road to the A1/M1 link road at Crossgates. I can understand that this is to keep traffic out of the city but when you know...

I thought getting out of Leeds wouldn't be too bad for me. Wrong!!! My bus home tonight was 30 minutes late due to problems getting into Leeds "Out of Service". On the way out I noticed the M621 was as busy in evening rush hour from Stourton to Leeds as it is in the morning rush hour in school term time. The M621 on almost all of its length is going to be no better than a car park during daylight hours next week and probably a couple of hours in darkness morning and night.Otley Road outbound in the evening is totally stuffed this week which I can only assume is down to it being preferred to Kirkstall Road due to the roadworks on there. If that is the case Kirkstall Road must be bad as nobody in a sane mind would try Otley Road during University term time unless they had to. That's this week what will they be like next week when the parents are back at work

The Gas people have told the YEP that they are on course to have their "emergency" works completed by Friday, so things should hopefully be back to normal on Monday morning.Well, as normal as they get in the wonderful world of Leeds traffic management.....

It will help the inner ring road but I suspect the resultant increased traffic volume outbound on Ingram Distributor to Elland Road will increase the problems on the M621
