I had a little drive around the nether reaches of Holbeck today to have a closer look at the viaduct but I cut it short when I realised that "plod" might have thought I was kerbcrawling! I didn't notice any ladies working but you can't be too careful.

It's a sad indictment that you can't go exploring/walking now without being viewed with suspicion! I recall a program on TV where anyone seen walking (and not driving) in a US town was viewed as a suspicious character and a potential vagrant

There is ,I believe, an "offence" on the lines of making a record of ,or being in possession of,material that may be of use to terrorists.This is such a broad concept that theoretically any one taking a picture of anything is falling foul of it. Police state....I think so!

'......if there are reasonable grounds for believing the pictures may be used for the perposes of terrorism.....'That should be the end of street-view then!!Under any other circumstances nobody can require you to delete a picture you have taken without an order from the courts - the recorded images are regarded as intellectual property.This might be of interest - or at least worth remembering:http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7351252.stm
