hi phill I dont know were they are from but the second pic is the coat of arms for the united kingdom with the inscription Dieu et mon droit across the bottom more info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dieu_et_mon_droitHope this is of some help Paul(ps was going to add the pic of the coat of arms but dont know how lol)

The coat of arms differs to the current one,the lion and unicorn are upright now.The unicorn appears to have lost its horn.The 2 workmen might represent a guild of some sort of metalworkers,the scale is small and might suggest gold,silver or brassrather than the morebase metals.How did you come across the images Phill ? there might be aclue in their origins.

Thanks for the feedback guys!Dogduke.... These are to be found at Armley Mills museum. Sadly there is no account of what they are, or which buildings they came from. I'm under the impression that all the exhibits in there come from old Leeds industry. I'm just wondering if these do as well?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_coat ... _KingdomIt looks like that version of the coat of arms was in usebetween 1816-1837 according to the Wikepedia entry above.The crown replace the electoral bonnet and the pattern of the quarters is about the same.Might be a place to start for trade directories etc
